Minnesota Youth Foundation is a non profit corporation that was organized in May of 2011 with the goal of providing recreational opportunities for Minnesota youth.
At present these activities include hockey and lacrosse and we hope to expand into a wider range of activities to include a larger percentage of the Minnesota youth.
Minnesota Youth Foundation’s goal is to raise funds through special events, programs, organized leagues and charitable donations and then use the proceeds to benefit area non-profit organizations that pertain to youth athletic based activities in order to promote and develop healthy habits and lifestyles.
One such event is the annual Granite City Winter Festival and Pond Hockey Championships which is held in St. Cloud MN. at the Lake George area facility and grounds in January or February. The intent will be to grow this event into a festival that will continue to build a variety of activities that will be designed to allow for more community involvement.
Another program is the Elite Hockey League, a summer hockey league which includes players from age 10 to age 24 and covers four divisions. This league is designed to give the players an opportunity to participate in a fast paced highly competitive game of hockey and it allows the older more experienced player to mentor the younger player and ready them for the upcoming season.
All proceeds from this league will go to create and promote recreational opportunities for Minnesota Youth
MN Youth Foundation is determined to continue it's effort to solicit funds through sponsorships, contributions, donations from local, statewide and national companies, this, along with all proceeds from it's programs will be used to acquire assets and develope programs to benefit and enhance youth organizations.
Minnesota Youth Foundation would like to thank all the Businesses, Corporations and Individuals that have been so generous with their time, talent and financial contibutions which have made all the effort so worth while.
Imagine the possibilities..........................
